The Challenge
These components had zero tolerance for corrosion. During scheduled servicing non-destructive testing (NDT) is conducted, and any corrosion detected means complete replacement—resulting in these parts becoming disposable lasting only one service interval. s.
Our Solution
We implemented a two-layer protective system managing both the physical impact and abrasive damage and corrosive environment.
The Result
After a full-service cycle, we removed the protective layers for NDT. The components passed inspection and were able to be recoated returned to service. Despite visible witness marks, evidenicing significant impacts, the protective system effectively multiplied their typical lifespan.
